Sankat Mochan Hanuman Mandir & Cultural Centre was established in 2011 to serve the Hindu community in Ajax and the Greater Toronto Area. What began as a humble gathering of faith has since blossomed into a thriving spiritual and cultural home, bringing everyone and all communities together . It is a sacred space where individuals and families can come to learn, practice, and deepen their understanding of Sanatan Dharma, while experiencing the divine grace and glory of Sankat Mochan Hanuman Ji.
Our Leadership & Spiritual Leader
Pt. Rabindranath Tiwari is the founder and spiritual leader of the Sankat Mochan Hanuman Mandir & Cultural Centre in Ajax. He completed his studies of the Vedas (Vedantic Teachings), Puranas, Upanishads at Parmarth Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh, India, in 2001. After completing his studies, he returned to Canada and began serving the community as a Hindu priest, dedicating himself to spiritual care and religious service. Recognizing the growing needs of the community, he, along with his family, went on to establish the Sankat Mochan Hanuman Mandir & Cultural Centre in 2011. In addition to performing traditional pujas, weddings, and samskaras (sacred rites of passage), he serves as a hospital chaplain, Vedanta teacher, and compassionate advisor to people of all faiths.
